Just got my car running after sitting for about 6 months. There had been about 1/8 of fuel in the car since sitting. I put in 4gal of 93/2gal of E85 in the car. The car ran fine for the first 3 days until yesterday. My low fuel level light displayed on the DIC. I went to Chevron and put in about 5 gallons of 93 and drove to my buddys house and then home.
Later that day, I go out to my car and start it and begin driving away and then it dies. I try cranking it and it starts but before it can find idle, it dies. I crank it again and it briefly finds idle and it dies. I can hear the fuel pump humming when I turn the ignition on and the car has no problem cranking, but it will not stay running. I tried pressing on the gas pedal, but the car dies. I'm thinking since my car has been sitting for 6 months and with me putting in the e85, I thinking the e85 might have dissolved some junk in my tank and clogged my fuel filter. My fuel filter has about 60k miles. What do you guys think, fuel pump or the fuel filter?
