Car was running mildly hot on the street and very hot at the race track. Replaced the radiator last year with minimal improvement. I finally took the shroud off to see the front of the condenser. Packed SOLID.
Started with compressed air from the backside (not real helpful)
Then it was engine degreaser
Then the hose from behind
Then the pressure washer from behind
There's still a bunch of large sand grains wedged in there - but the airflow is significantly better.
FWIW: this is after 153,000 miles.
Before:
Someone posted a material to cover the condenser a few months back. Free flowing and should stop this kind of sand intrusion. I will have to see if I can find it.
