Default Can RF Throw a Wheel Speed Sensor Code?

For the past year or so I started getting the notorious EBCM 1214 Code as well as a 1263 Rt Front Wheel Sensor Code (usually together) in turn activating the ABS/TC/AH lights.

About 3 weeks ago I had the Dealership replace my EBCM under GMPP - I have not seen the 1214 code since. However, I am still throwing the 1263 code every day or two. What I have noticed is that the 1263 code/ABS/TC/AH lights all appear when I am driving down the same three roads around town at the exact same locations (like every time I pass the Olive Garden Restaurant). I am just wondering if maybe a building alarm system or something may be triggering this?

Did they just replace the EBCM, and not the BPMV?

I agree!! C1263 is a RF Inlet Valve Solenoid Malfunction. Its either a malfunction in the New EBTCM or the RF Inlet Valve Solenoid inside the BPMV is not working properly.

If it were me, I would find a nice empty safe wet road and stomp the brakes hard enough to activate the antilock a few times and see if you can get the system working.

Yes, just the EBCM.

Sorry, I am an idiot... the code I am getting is C1226 (not C1263). Don't know where I came up with 1263? They are planning on replacing the right front hub on Monday - does that sound right?

Sure it's possible, but they don't go bad often. A careful inspection of the wiring (and eval with a meter) is in order. I guess if it's on their dime....let them play.

:rofl : You would most likely be wasting your money. I have NEVER seen one go bad,,,,,,,EVER!

Like Lucky recommended,,,,carefully examine ALL the female connector pins and I bet ya, you find a bad female pin.

Heres an example of a new and a bad female pin in a WSS female connector:

The BAD female pin is on the RIGHT. The new one is on the left.

Heres a picture of the jumper cable. Theres a female connector on that cable to:

Inside a WSS:

Theres also a female harness connector on the K member that needs to be checked.

I imagine that is the problem and I will check that if I get a code after I get it back (since my warranty will be gone) - they are also replacing a gas tank sensor in the same visit.

Thanks for the photos! I had seen some of your posts on this in the past and that is why I asked them at the dealership if it might just not be a bad connector last week. They said they would just go ahead and replace the whole hub assy to be safe? This will be my last warranty visit as my GMPP expired today.

"and harness"

There's where your problem was!

If the problem reappears, the other problem area could be the connector on the K menber. It has female pin in it also.

Bill,

Here is a copy of one page of the invoice which mentions a "REDESIGNED CROSSOVER HARNESS"? Did they come out with a "new" design for the harness?
