Default Which Intake?

I have a stock 98 6spd, I plan on installing a Vararam and Powerduct next week, which intake manifold is the best bang for the buck?
My only other future upgrades are LT headers and a tune, which I plan on doing next summer.
Thanks for any help.

With no other mods, only 5hp. With heads and cam, it can be up to 15 hp due to increased available air flow.

LS6. is what I went with along with a ported throttle body.
I could tell a difference on the higher ends of the RPM/MPH scale than the lower end.

I followed that up with LT headers, delete cats, and Borla cat back and I could tell a huge difference as soon as I stepped on it just a tad in the lot when they told me to get on it so they could hear what it sounded like after their work doing it.

Lets just say as soon as I stepped on it in their private laarge back lot I had a huge smile on my face.

I would recommend skipping the LS6 and going straight to a FAST 90 or 92. Haha it just so happens that I have a brand new FAST 92 in the box for sale.

I would have to disagree, for the mods he has a LS6 will do the job perfectly fine and for the price there a very good mod for the cheaper side. Not trying to not make you a sell its just this is what will be best for him. Unless the FAST you have is a real steal? And if you gonna get the LS6 intake I would also recommend getting you TB polished.

This guy is a really great guy and dose amazing work!

I say do the FAST 90/90 because I dont see you stoping at your next level. you wont notice much power gain, and you'll want to do a cam next

This is not correct. The Camaro intakes do not have the MAP housing on the back of the manifold and cannot be fitted with one. I'm not sure about the GTO.

To me the price is not worth it. And I am gonna be running my Trex cam from Thunder Racing in my Z06 and they (the owner) told me that the FAST is pointless he said the LS6 intake will do the job fine. For $300.00 vs $800.00 ill stick with my LS6 until I go FI! And with the money I saved by not getting a FAST intake I now have my Wet Shot!

Keep the LS6 if you go FI. The FAST 90 and 92 will make the car lose boost at high rpms. Now the 102 on the other hand wont lose boost. I have a MS3 cam in mine and just put a FAST 92 on and its a very big difference.

. Well thats what I meant to say, make sure to get the 102 tho so you don't lose it up top.
