I've experienced a nice and unexpected surprise following my new wheel/tire installation over the weekend. My car is much much much less squeaky! Is this normal?
With my past set, I'd hear fairly loud suspension squeaking when going over a bump, turning into my driveway, speed bumps, etc. particularly at low speeds.
I was going to take my car in for bushing replacement, but now it seems unnecessary.
Or it may be that the extra flex in the suspension when the car was on the lift for tire installation moved a couple of the bushings and stopped it. Chances are it is only a temporary fix.
I have found that a lot of times, it is not the "suspension bushings" but rather the actual shock mounting bushings.
When the noise comes back try and isolate the problem by moving the car up and down while listening carefuly under the car. You should be able to find the problem area.
