LT installation/O2 questions????
I am installing OBX LT's this weekend probably...
What do I do with the O2's??
I have a Diablo Predator....with this, I assume I go into COT (which I have never looked into) and change it...to off I assume?
Dyno time this summer and a tune is not in the budget...the Predator I already owned, as I had it on my Tahoe.
I read this post and the question arises, what's this about switching the position of the o2's??
Thanks in advance for the advice!!
The "sensor 1" codes are a different story---- The inherent issue with LT headers is that the 02 bungs on the LT's are further back then they were with the stock manifolds-----These new locations give erroneous 02 voltage data back to the ECM----making your car run closer to 14.2 in closed loop rather than the original Stoich of 14.68 much richer-------Also the furher aft location will tend to NOT let the 02's heat up properly---make sure they are quickly oscilating between
.100 and .950 ----slow response codes are normal---AND sometimes if you run a lazy 02 too long it will permaantly foul it and it will be junk---
many people will install the REAR 02's into the front locations with LT's---As the rear stock 02's are much more sensitive and respond better to low heat--
