Default What's the best performing intake....

Hi there,
it's been a long time since I have frequented this forum. I used to be quite active back in 2000, but life took on it's own form and my C5 went into storage all these years. I just tipped 5,900 miles on her last night lol...I recently revived my passion for the C5 and have been slowly starting to get back in the groove of modding.
LOL, back then we didn't have all the choices for aftermarket stuff as we do today. I have a Gen 1 Halltech intake, with a carbon fiber airbridge among other "stuff".

I recently discovered the airbridge to be cracked where the coupler is attached by the clamp so now I am trying to decide if I should just replace the airbridge or go with a better setup. I am currently considering the Vararam VR-B2 setup with the foglight screens (good move or not?).

Long story short, I know there will be lot's of opinions, but I am interested to hear what you think is the best intake setup and why. My 2000 C5 has motor work done to it, no blowers, all motor.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts!

thanx for the reply Bill - I am actually leaning that way.

My current setup requires me to have a hole cut into my radiator shroud lower support. I guess that means I need to buy a new radiator shroud if I go the VARARAM route?

Where is the best place to pick up a raditator shroud lower support?
