I have been having an intermittent no start issue and ended up changing the starter. Drove the car for little over a week and the issue came back and stayed this time. I was able to push start the car and get it home.
When I went to check voltages at the TDR relay I was not getting any voltage on the red wire (my understanding is it should be hot all the time). I tried to jumper between the purple and red wire and nothing. I then pulled fuse number 52 (60a) and it was blown. I put a new fuse in and tried to jumper between the Red wire and purple wire and promptly blew fuse 52.
My question is could a bad starter cause the fuse to blow?
The starter wires are easily baked/fried and damaged by the exhaust system. If your blowing the fuse,,,,,I would start there and look for damage and shorts.
My 98 Coupe had a clogged HVAC drain and it backed up and water got into the TDR and destroyed it. Make sure that the TDR in not damaged.
