Ok I was driving to work this morning and a massive bug splatted on the windshield. Ok no biggie wipers get it off bam no driver side washer is barely spraying cleaner. Get to work look at the arm nothing blocking the hole, fluid is full, I suppose the line is clogged somewhere?
Jump to about 30 min ago, driving home from buddies apt. I rarely drive at night, but last time I flipped up my headlights the passenger side made a wierd grinding noise. Go to open them up tonight flip them on passenger side does not come up, again makes weird grinding noise. SO I am assuming the gear is shot? Is there anything else it could be? Is that the motor seizing? Someone please school me.
When you go to flip on the lights, carefully watch the top of the headlight motor. Does the **** rotate around at all? If not then see if you can crank it up by hand (you will be able to feel a bad worm screw I would think). Also, I have had my casing separate before....fixed that with some two part epoxy and it still works. I would suspect you just need to remove it and replace the plastic gear with the brass from one of the vendors that sells the headlight repair kit. Pricey but cheaper than a new motor unit.
As far as the washer bottle thing, I would look at the line to see if there is a hole in it someplace or another malfunction. If one line squirts and the other doesn't then I don't see why/how it could be a bad washer pump.
Good luck.
