Can you hear any clicking type sound when you try to operate the window?

i have the same problem. i rolled my window up and i heard a "pop" sound and bam my window will not roll down and my lock/unlock will not work as well. i have no clicking sounds at all. i tried hitting the motor and nothing and also replaced the relays for those two and i dont think i did a very good job. im going to try a new LDCM

i also have 1 code for LDCM so im almost positive that it just doesnt work for the lock/ unlock or window up or down

Ok guys, correct me if i'm wrong, but in the tech article that shows how to replace the relay, it appears that there is only ONE relay for the windows on each board... seems to me that if that relay was bad, NEITHER window would work, right? My passenger window works fine...

you have a LDCM and a RDCM they each have there own relay for each window. thats why your passenger window works.

two relays on each board? the only reason i'm looking to clarify that is because the pictures i've seen only show one relay on each board...

1 relay for each door control module. so that would be 2 relays for both door control modules

if thats the case, then shouldnt both windows stop working from the driver's side control? or does activating the switch for the passenger window FROM THE DRIVERS SWITCH route the command through the passenger's side control module?

you're on the right track, common issue on these cars. if you have the code, i'd bet the DCM is bad. I've replaced one or both on my car( i can't remember) along with both regulators..

if the "whack" doesn't work and the "accordian" rubber thingy in the door's wires are okay...door control module is next. look for a part out car in the FS section or fleabay

i believe it does...are you saying that your window rolls down when using the driver side button but not the passenger side? or it won't roll down no matter what?

how many miles on the car?

well its the driver's window that is having issues, and it is only controlled from the driver side, so i can't test it with the passenger switch...

the car is an '02 Z06 with ~27k miles....

thanks in advance for all the help, guys... i gotta get this bug worked out!

LDCM is the problem is my bet too.

You can try and dive into it and see if you can figure out whats up with the relay...I haven't seen a write up on this yet though..

You should be able to get one for around 50 bucks if you can find a used one. The fact that you wiggled the wire loom in the door jam and got nothing. coupled with the fact that it just "bang" worked out of no where after pressing the button real hard too.

Sounds like a relay to me...if it doesn't work, smack the heck out of the door panel right where the control module is and see if it works..if so, it's the LDCM.
