Headlight Motor Rebuild
I just rebuilt the headlight motors on my 2001 Vert M6. It was a breeze. If you are thinking about buying motors for the 140 to 240 bucks dont do it. I got the bronze gears from Ecklers for 50 bucks each. For the price of 1 motor I rebuilt 2. It is pretty straight forward. Just have to be careful to line up the shaft so the linkage to the headlight goes on proper. You also have to be careful to put the cover support back on correctly so everything lines up. Do not pry on the housing when you are opening the case too hard. Mine just popped loose by finding a gap and pushing it in till it seperated. You can see the tabs inside when it opens. Stay to either side of the tab and you push it all the way in without damaging a thing. If you are in San Antonio I can rebuild both of them for 200 bucks including parts.
