Default Time for new rad please advice

I am looking at the dewitt. Should I get the one with the oil and transmission cooler. I have a blown z and it gets pretty hot. should I also upgrade the fans? I called dewitt and they told me it doesn't come with instructions on how to install it. I know the rad is a drop in but what about tapping in for the oil and transmission cooler? This is just a street car.....no heavy track use at all. I have an rx7 for that. thanks in advance.

Just get the dewitts and the upgraded fans. No need to get the oil cooler and trans cooler for a street car. My car runs in at 172-degree on the highway...even in 90+ degree weather

I bought mine with the oil cooler, but don't use it. I figured it was a major purchase and why not add the cooler if I need it later as the price difference wasn't that big not to.

i know, i saw oil temps over 260 sometimes when i am on it. it's very crowded in there with the d1sc. coolant temps i saw over 240-50 sometimes. i can never get into it like i want. i just wondered how many have the tranny cooler too.

No need to get a tranny cooler for the T56. A bottle of water wetter or purple ice mixed in with the coolant will help keep temps down. If you get a radiator without an oil cooler now you can always use an external oil cooler later if needed.

It seams that with 260 oil temps that the optional internal cooler would help him. Isn't 260 getting in the high range for oil temps?

You may want to send a PM to Tom DeWitt, he is very helpful and knows his products well. They have a great display at Carlisle if you are going.

I have an '04 Supercharged Z with the P1SC blower. The intercooler blocks most of the radiator on the drivers side. I installed the standard DeWitts 2 row radiator (no oil cooler or tranny cooler other that what came stock on the car. She runs about 205 - 212 in stop and go traffic here in Central Florida. I don't know what the oil temp gets to as I haven't looked. I've done quite a few runs up to 150+ but nothing for an extended period and usually not more than once in an afternoon. Car runs fine and strong without any hiccups.

Later ... Larry S.
