Default rain issues

Recently when it would rain for long periods of time, I would start the C5 and all warning lights and gauges would come on. If I would restart the car all would be normal. Today all warning lights came on, and stayed on no matter how many times I would restart the car. Dash gauges read either maxed out or not reading anything. Door control panels would not work, no power windows along with the AC would not work. I am assuming a ground issue of sort, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Look in the passengers foot well and inspect the BCM for water damage / dampness.

Feel the jute underlayment under the carpet (especially under the seat) and see if its damp or wet.

Yes it is a little damp in the compartment. Anything I can do to help fix the issue? Thanks for the reply.

Read my LEAK Stickey at the top of Tech Section. Your cowl drain tube is clogged OR, the HVAC air box drain is clogged. Either one will cause water leakage issues in that footwell. Recommend that you REMOVE the carpet and properly dry it out. If you dont, it will cause interior humidity and electrical component failure.

Ask me how I know. Disconnect the negative battery terminal, remove the BCM and dry it over a mild heat. I put mine in the furnace room along with the carpet. They dry nicely there where its warm.

Heres the tube behind the battery you need to FLUSH out with a hose:

Then there are the three udders on the drivers side:

The HVAC drain is on the passengers side fire wall:

What is the procedure for removing the BCM? New problem is that the mirror reading lights won't go off while driving, anyway to remove a fuse for them?

Must have been a dampness issue, as after two weeks, everything is back to normal operation.
