Default Would a program mod help?

I have a friend who has a 2001 Corvette: The current mods are an X-Pipe, larger throttle body, exhaust, shifter (it is a standard transmission), complete Vortex system with air bridge and coupler, 178 thermo. The question is...would a program change such as a Power Loader II be of any benefit? The only benefit I could see is maybe the CAGS elimination, fans kicking on sooner, and changes in rev limiter settings. Any opinions? Also, I hear (and recall my own experiences) that Steve Cole has become even slower than he was before...any equally as good solutions other than Steve? Let me know...Thanks.

The only help you will get from an hypertech is the fan degree kick on, raising the rev limit and if you put in 3.14 gears you can recalibrate the speedo, other than that you will be wasting your money. The mods you have done the pcm will relearn and adjust on its own after a few miles driven.Using Steve Cole or Ed Wright would be after you have done say,3.42 gears,H/C, TC,where the pcm needs to have A/F mixtures or speedo redone for higher gears.
