I did a search but found no posts on the subject... I want to hear from you C5 guys who have done brake upgrades. I've decided to throw some machine gray C6 Z06 wheels on my coupe. While I'm at it I figure I'll throw on a C5 Z06 brake upgrade (little lighter on the budget compared to Baer, Brembo, and Willwood). Anybody upgrade to the C5 Z06 brakes? Likes, dislikes, or regrets? Will I have fitment issues with the new wheels?
But if he is changing pad compounds he might as well look at the offerings from some other companies. I have used HAWK in other vehicles and have been pleased.
MidAmerica calls it the GM matched performance package. All oem Z06 equipment. I would probably pick up some braided brake lines as well. What do you guys think? I'm digging those drilled and slotted rotors.

Waste of money at a grand...pick up the same rotors and pads from Gene Culley (GM parts house) for about $400, and then paint your stock calipers if you have to have red.
