I have the stock Z06 pump and when I did my H/C install I shimmed my pump bypass valve .060 and my hot idle is 40 lbs and hight is 60-65 lbs.

Do you track the car? 212 deg F is a good street oil temp.
I used my 97' C5 H&C car at HPDE and also on the drag strip with a blower. But I have never tracked the Z06.

I have twin turbos and Ron Davis Rad....plus an Earl's Performance Oil Cooler with -10 AN lines. I think it would do fine at the track....with the current cooling mods it takes 45-60 mins while driving in 100* weather to get to 212*...granted the RPMs are low and not really anything like the track. But I remember driving my stock 97 and 01 around in hot temps and it would get hot quick....both the oil and coolant.

I was seeing 265-270* on my H&C'd 97 on the road course...20 min sessions. All stock cooling parts back then too.

I had an LS6 Katech Ported oil pump...I took it off and replaced it with my Melling because I have two turbos to feed and 1/2" (-10 AN) return lines so I need the extra volume and pressure...but I used it with my prior mods and it worked great...really no different than what you did with yours.

I have watched engine temps and they have not gone up at all - or just slightly after running hard then sitting in traffic.

Not sure how good or how bad that is..
This is about what I get. 80k miles,, 15 lbs or so on a hot day. normal temps. just took it on a 2000 mile round trip. no problems
