Like a brain surgeon once said to me.. Oh brain surgery is easy if you know how to do it"
However Changing heads for someone who does not know how to do it.. is difficult at best, impossible for others, and potentially a disaster for still others. This is a situation where you need to help and assist a knowledgeable person a few times before tackling this yourself. Or have a knowledgeable person right there with you while you actually do all the work.
neither of which I have.
The harness clamp behind the passenger side head [ at the firewall ] took most of my blood. Needless to say, that part didn't go back on new heads.

Once you undertake the up-grade,,, there are few parts that you will need to get the job done.
New head Bolts
Head Gaskets
Intake manifold gaskets (if yours are old and compressed)
Aftermarket pushrods if your running better springs than stock
Dexcool Coolant/distilled water.

I'm attempting a head change right now i blew the head gaskets this weekend when i was on tha boost. i've never changed the heads on a c5 but i've been working on turbo fbody's for years so this shouldnt be a problem . Like everone else said it all depend's if you know what your doing.

If your having head gasket issues and your F/I,,, consider ARP Head studs. OMG,,there sooo much more rugged and do a much better job distributing the head load:
There also reusable and IMHO a NO BRINER over stock head bolts!
