C5 Vanity Mirror Lights.

C5 Vanity Mirror Lights.
Is there a way to remove (or disable) the vanity mirror light bulbs? The hinge on the switch side has broken on both mirrors due to heat and the pressure of the switch on the cover. Since the covers put no pressure on the switch , the lights stay on unless I tape the covers down.

Have you ever seen the stuff they call "plumber's epoxy" (Home depot and lowes has it as well as most harware stores). the stuff looks like play dough and you knead it together , form it into the shape you need, stick it where you need it and let it harden up. After it drys it can be sanded and painted.Use it to form a replacement for the piece that broke off.

proclaim rather loudly every time you enter the car "boy o boy I'm sure glad these vanity lights are on " the bulbs will hear and realize that their plot to annoy the chit out of you isn't5 working and they will burn themselves out .out of spite
