My plug wires have a pulse... WTF?
Okay so my 2000 Vette is running great with intake, exhaust, pullies, hypectec and misc. My plug wires are approx 3 months old and there an off brand 10.2mm claiming to be high-end stuff... I know I've should have known better. Anyway, at idle 5 of the 8 wires have a real steady pulse to them. The do not shock me or anything, you can hold them all day if wanted and you can just feel this pulse. The car runs fine idles smooth and gets avg 21 mpg. I've tried swaping the wires to see if changed anything but it didnt. The spark plugs also 3 months old are the NGK iridium's but I cannot recall the gap on them.
Dose anyone know what the hecks going on or should I even be concerned? Any help would be great!
p.s. I did try to search this fourm for an answer before posting. THANKS!

On a more serious note:
1. Please list the wires your running.
2. Are you sure that there properly connected (inserted all the way on the plug and all the way into the coil tower???????
3. If your not sure of the gap you have on the plugs, remove then and verify.
If you can run thru the gears under heavy load (full throttle) and the engine does not misfire, the plug wires are doing their job (for now).
Se if your CHECK ENGINE LIGHT (CEL) ever flashes when your accelerating (means you are expierencing a misfire).
WHY,,,are you only getting 26 mpg??????????
My midly modified 98 got 28-30 MPG easily. Sounds like you need to clean your MAf and or get your car tuned.BC
