Default Windshield wiper problem.

I've been having a problem with the wipers on my 97 corvette since i bought it. When you turn them on intermittent, instead of returning to the down position between wipes they stay in the straight up position. They will not return to the down position when turned off no matter what mode they are on. I have replaced the motor and the switch in the column and don't know what to do next. any suggestions?

Default same wiper problem

I am having the same problem. I beleieve it is the timing location of the arm to bracket piece that fits down on top of motor. There is a swievel pin that pops out of the socket and it has to be aligned up properply so wipers will park. Mine and yours are parking only in off postion not in the intermedient postion. Instead of parking in the intermedient they will park in middle of windshield. I have moved locator pin and end up reversing sitiation , They now park on intermedient but when turned off they are off but in the middle of the windshield so I am baffled

Default wiper fixed

After a few hours of experimenting in several different postions and reading several old post here on the forum I solved problem. The spring loaded tab that is supposet to be set 4-5 mm from other tab. Well somehow that tab was slightly bent a hair. I re bent tab and now the spring loaded tab catches hold to this tab and everything is back to normal. I also cleaned utters while i had this out but they were pretty clean already just a few leaves in there. rICHARD

No one have any pics? Can you tell me where these tabs/springs are located such as in the motor, on top/bottom or what to look for?
Thanks,
Gregg

Default Not a pic but

If you are looking at the top of the windshield washer motor/cam installed in the well for it, the spring / tab he is referring to is located at about the 7 o'clock position.
When looking you will be standing on the driver side of the car by the front wheel.
The tab is mounted on the lower side of the cam support.
Be aware that I had to replace mine because the tab had broken off and was missing.
