I've got a Check Engine light with P0134, P0135, P0154 and P0155 which refer to the Heated Oxygen Sensors on both sides of the engine. The Tech wants to replace both sensors, but I think it would be highly unlikely that both HO2S sensors would go out at the same time. More likely is that the ground G105 is corroded and needs to be cleaned. Am I off base or should I let the pro do his job? I'm real new at this, but am learning fast on this forum.
My bet is that he'll replace them and still get the codes and check engine light.
Clean that ground and reset the codes and see what happens. I agree its unusual to loose two O2 sensors at once. Occasionally I get lean codes on my O2 sensors, all 4 will show low voltage, but I believe its from my CAI and I could solve it with a tune.
TRUST your hind sight and wallet. (Its begging you to examine your options) Inspect the O2 Sensor connectors and wiring/connectors (especially the SP ground connector behind the battery) If there all good ,,, you may need to opt for new O2 sensors. There EASY to replace,, so,, you can save the cash and do it your self...
The technitian is saying the the left and right O2 sensors are different parts costing $126 for the left and $195 for the right. My research shows that they're the same part (75-1701) and are $39.99 from Corvette Central. Do you think I'm missing something?

"Do you think I'm missing something?"
Yep
A mechanic that knows what hes talking about and wont charge you more than DOUBLE the price of the damn sensor.
AutoZone and Advance Auto have the sensors. There BOSH and really nothing special. I think there $50ish each but call them and verify. The Front and REAR sensors are different but, I don't think they cost much different. The rear sensors have a bigger heating element inside them and a different plug. Unless you have a rear sensor DTC, you will NOT need a new one.
If I were you I would just change the sensor my self. It really isn't that difficult. Tell that mechanic to get a clue.

I never had to purchase a rear sensor as they don't do anything for performance (just emissions) and I have them tuned out of the equation.

I just brought it back from the Tech after deciding not to have them do anything. However, the Check Engine light and the codes 0134, 0154 were all gone. Not sure what happened, but I'm in a wait and see mode now. If they come back I'll clean the grounds again and then replace the HO2 sensors myself.
Yep That Splice Pack is on the wireing harness behind the battery. Its sometimes difficult to see but its there. Heres what happens when its exposed to battery acid fumes.
