One fender was good and the bracket that went behind the front fender- to cover has studs/bolt on it. the ones they keep giving me slide on to the fender but there is no way I can get my hands in there to bolt together, Also the original has the little bracket for the front inner fender to bolt to for alignment. I will try to get pics soon... Thanks

PM an email address and tell me what your replacing, bumper cover or fender, and I'll email the service manual segments for you.

Looks like the fender to bumper cover bracket. I used a LONG 1/4" extension, put a little grease on the socket to hold the nut and Viola-got it easily.

When OP posted picture, that was my first thoughts. Weld in threaded stock/bolt, minus head. Both being of the same length, thread size as original.

Are we missing something here?

never took it apart. Seems the one with studs goes behind fender and cover bolts to it(makes sense) the one without studs is made to slide over inner cover. Maybe cage nuts then? Must be some design change? the dealer doesnt know anything about vettes (the one in my area) Been doing this along time but this is my first new body style. I am amazed the way the inner (fiberglass part) just floats on the frame with no bolt or stud for alignment) Just wanted to prefit it all before I put the glue in. This car has been a pain from the get go... Just wished I could have taken it apart. Front was wiped off. Just was hoping someone might have been thru it thats all. Going to try the cage nuts on that piece with no studs and bolt up from the bottom. Thanks for any and all help..Jay

Tried to upload pics but photobucket is down

I am assuming you are trying to bolt the front clip together, and (set)glue new wheel wells in. No clue how the wheel wells should be set, but I'm pretty sure it is in the collision manual.

I don't think you can mount the fenders until the wheel wells are set.
