I was wondering the same thing because I just purchased the new Eradispeeds and the rear calipers look TINY against the new rotors. I'm going to ask someone at LAPD...since I bought the rotors there.

Just got a reply from Shawn at LAPD (man they're fast!). He says the Eradispeeds are too new and he doesn't know of anyone who has done the mod. Since I have an extra set of front calipers, I may TRY the set-up when I install the rotors. Even if they do fit, I probably won't drive the car...I'm afraid of ruining the new rotors! :flag

I just received a call from Rick at Baer. I had sent him and email asking about using front calipers on the rear wheels. The answer he gave me is a definate NO!! Basically, the bore size of the front caliper is much larger than the rear and as brake bias is extremely important, using front calipers on the rear will upset the bias, causing a potentially dangerous situation. Rick said that this could cause problems with the ABS trying to compensate for the increased rear bias and, in racing situations, could cause the rear end to swing around. The bottom line is this: Baer designed and manufactured the new Eradispeeds mainly for cosmetic reasons. Many C5 owners don't like the fact that the stock front rotors are considerably larger than rears. That, compounded with the fact that the rear wheels are larger than the fronts, drove the request to manufactur larger rear rotors...to match the front rotors. I hope this helps!!

Mean: there was a guy here last year... I took note to his settup.. I cant remember his name but .. he had a red vert.. with a red hard top.. and he had neon in the front fender vent.. he did put front calibers on the back..with larger rotors.. but he lost his emergency brake.. with the new eradispeed rears with the emergency hub built in.. it should be a no brainer..the backs are 14 inch.. the fronts are alittle smaller..but in my opinion this should work.. it is easy enough to see..Shawn or nate must have a front caliper around.. and having the corvette logo on the front and rear is cool.. and you will still be able to use the E brake..

Fronts bolt right on the rear--But you give up the handbrake and you need to install a proportioning valve in main brake line to rear brakes.

Just thought I would add to this conversation. The rear Eradispeed 14 inch rotors probably won't work with the front calipers mounted on the rear so you have 2 choices. You can buy stock size front rotors for the rear and lose the E-brake or you can try convicing BAER to install a stock size front rotor on the 14inch eradispeed hat and therefor maintain your emergency brake.
