added it to my '98 and would do it all over again without hesitation I got the cluster(99+ i believe have the right one) for like $150 off Ebay then a sponsor here happened to have the rest of the stuff(HUD unit, switches, wire harnesses and dash trim(little square ring on dash) but can't remember the total. It was cheap i know that. Cut the dash which was easy just cut small and trim as needed.
On another thread, I noticed a number of owners are happy with the HUD option. I would like to add one to my c5. Is this possible?
A lot involved; expensive?
Thank you!
I do not believe you can buy it other than used....if you do purchase used you must get everything needed because there are no other way to purchase parts to the install from GM....Get someone who did a Recent install given there is a question about getting parts.
If you live close to Toledo Ohio, I'll do your installation without charge.
Wow; who could refuse that offer. I live in western Pennsylvania and may take you up on that. I really would like to have the hud but since I am retired didn't want to spend $2,000.00 + labor to do so.
