The only draw back to the 9 volt battery back up is if you leave a door open for a minute, the 9 volt will go dead real quick.. It just can't handle that big of a draw..
You will have to keep the current draw down to a minimum.
Thanks for all the replys and concerns, next month when i install the new batt im going to use the battery charger set to the 2 amp setting my brother will be lending a hand and i will wrap the pos with a towel so it wont come in contact with any metal which i was going to do anyway before all the posts about it touching and sparking
Last year when i changed the batt on my pickup i used the 9volt cig plug and for some weird reason it illuminated my park lights and interior lights while i made the change and i lost all settings incl the IM readiness for the emissions which led me to fail at MV inspection, maybe the 9 volt wasn't any good or i have a short who knows but its over now, the 2 anp will work and i'll be careful, thanks again.
