Hello, I just purchased and received my MGW short throw 30% shifter. (the only one they manufacture now) My question to you is I would like to change out my transmission fluid (24k miles) and while at it is there any shifter linkage that could or should be lubed for easier shifting? Any other suggestions appreciated. Greetings, Rob
I used some synthetic grease in the shifter box. It freeded it up nicely. I would also carefully inspect the rubber bushings that isolate the shifter box from the torque tube. If you have a ZO6, the bushings are solid aluminum.
If the rubber bushings are BAD, you should figure out something to replace them. Theres a guy in the C6 section tha makes some replacements. The GM OEM Service Counter does not sell them individualy.

Hello Bill, spoke to George at MGW and he suggests changing out entire shifter box...but I think I will purchase some shifter box bushings first (much cheaper route) and I will post where they can be bought..when I find out. Thanks for response. Rob
