But the OP's saying that his hoses to the radiator are cold yet the engine is overheating. This implies the coolant isn't circulating either due to a tstat or blockage somewhere.

Thanks everyone for the help. Replaced the water pump yesterday and she is running cool again. I now have a new cooling system (radiator, radiator cap, thermostat, waterpump, belt, and coolant) all for under $400:-)
