The noise you get maybe comming from the idler pulleys on the AC system. You can remove just the AC belt and find out. I ended up driving for a long time witout the AC belt to kill off the idler pulley bearing screech.
It took over a year for my water pump to actually make a mark on the ground.
I picked up a new one, and new idler pulleys, and put it all in pretty quick. Like 1.5 hours playing around with the new and old parts.

Well I have been driving the car since Friday . Great weekend for it in FL for sure. I smelled something once but no drips. Nothing else since Friday. So I will just keep an eye on it and update if something happens.
