Hey everyone,
I just pulled my codes through the DIC because my check engine light is on. I've had this issue since my LG Long tubes were installed and tuned. I reset it a while back and it just came back on. Can anyone tell me what i need to do to fix whatever problem i have?
P0153: 02 Sensor, Slow response Bank 2 Sensor 1.
P0155: 02 Sensor, Heater Circuit Bank 2 Sensor 1.
P01153: 02 Sensor, Insufficient Switching Bank 2 Sensor 1.
Would just buying a new 02 Sensor fix my problem?
The only thing i don't get is my tuner told me tht my 02 sensors were turned off during the tune. If they turned them off then how do they throw codes?
Those are codes for the front oxygen sensors. Tuners will tune out the rear oxygen sensors. You need the fronts. Do you have the capacity to monitor the oxygen sensor?
There is one on each side, but if your codes are correct it is only one having a problem. They usually shut off 1 set, but not both of them. The cars have 4 02 sensors in stock form. 2 in front of the cats and two after the cats. Make sure the wires are not being burnt up otherwise you may need a new one.
I can't remember which side is Bank 1 but they are not expensive and not hard to replace so you can easily do it yourself but if the problem started right after the header install, I would take it back to the place that put them in first.
Ill be going down there tomorrow, so ill have them take look to see if the wiring has any damage to it. Thanks. So if the wiring isnt damaged, and i just buy the 2 front sensors my problem will be fixed.. Is there a forum vendor here that sells them?

Not necessarily. Do not just throw parts at the issue, before troubleshooting.
For LG headers, here is what your shop should have done:
1) Removed the front O2 sensors.
2) Installed the rear O2 sensors, in the front positions(using electrical adapters).
3) Tuned the rear O2 positions to not report.
As mentioned, there may be heat damage to the wiring, for the right front 02 sensor wiring. This is the first place to look.
The tuner or anyone with a good scanner can read the voltage movement of the oxygen sensor and see if it is ok or not or if it is in the wiring. If you want to throw a part at it it is the passenger side front oxygen sensor. Probably the only sensor on the right side if the tuner removed the rears.
