Well I pretty much destroyed the slave cylinder quick disconnect trying to get it apart. My question is can you get a replacement plastic piece that fits in the quick disconnect anywhere? I have found that my cherry car has had the driveline taken out before. The previous person that took the disconnect off damaged the connection and Plastic collar that is supposed to slip down to disengage the coupler. I think I have dressed it up enough to reuse again but if I can find a replacement plastic piece I would like to get one. Any help would be appreciated.
Before someone asks, Yes I tried using the correct AC/Fuel line disconnect tools. Actually went out and got a couple different styles other than the ones I had.

Ya, know I just redid my clutch and tried to use the correct tool and didnt have any luck either. The stock brass coupler seemed to have a lip at the top above the white plastic collar that prevented the tool from pushing properly on it. I ended up opening up the drivers side wheel well and removed the entire clutch line and took it to a bench and released it with screwdrivers. Worked much better than the correct tool.
If you were to get a hold of a shop that does quite a few clutch replacements, they could give you one out of an old slave.
They have a split in them, making it possible to remove & reinstall.
When removing the q/disconnect, you would want to press on the outer plastic ring ( part you need) When reinstall you would press on the solid collar & not the plastic ring.
Using a 5/8" Ford A/C dissconnect tool (one that is spring loaded )
use one side of the tool for disconnect (thin collar) & the other side (flush) for re connecting.
I tried a 5/8 AC/Fuel line tool. It wasn't a spring loaded one. Where do you get those? The plastic piece was already jacked up. Good idea about trying to find one from someone that does clutch work. I may try that. My only problem is there aren't many shops around me that do it. I may try the House of Boost or MC Racing in KC.
