That was originally my strategy for my car, wait for stuff to break or need to be replaced and then upgrade at that point. The problem was that I bought a car that only had 7,800 miles on it...
I couldn't help myself on the tune, intake, and exhaust, those aren't likely to break any time soon and I think every performance car deserves these upgrades. My car got these within a few weeks of having it.
If I'm honest, I may have "artificially accellerated" the need for new tires so I could get wheels and ditch the runflats.
The more time I spend on these forums, the less patience I have on the heads, cam, and headers...THANKS GUYS! My wife keeps having to put off this new purse and matching shoes she saw at Neiman Marcus because you all keep talking me into the next project

It's not that WE are talking you into the mods, it's the car talking to you.
Not all of us like the FRC style. In my case my dislike of the back window area is why I bought my coupe. Yes, the Z06 is a GREAT package, but the initial cost is quite a bit higher and the performance can be replicated for far less than the cost difference. Yes, it's not a real Z06, but it can be REALLY close and have things that you can't get in the real Z.
Part of the fun of the hobby is customizing our cars right?
