Has anyone used this valve spring tool? I was curious to how it works as I am about to do mine and am looking for a tool. I will also be getting the air hose adaptor. http://www.speedinc.com/cont.cfm?cid=C0001138
LOL the Comp one looks like they tried to copy the Crane.
I have the Crane one here, ( my personal one) I'll let you borrow it if you pay a deposit and shipping. Actually I used to offer a cam swap rental package of tools.. haven't for a while but I can if a person is interested

I may have to take you up on that offer. What kind on deposit you looking for to cover and what would shipping cost? Do you have to air adaptor?
I tried to buy the Comp tool but Summit didn't have it in stock so I bought the Proform tool that looks just like the Comp. These spring compressors work great because not only can you do 2 at one time but it compresses the spring straight down.
I just bought the vinci tool, it should be here monday or tuesday. I am changing my valve springs next weekend, I can give you a review then. I've been using the "Larry tool" for a few years now, it has worked well but takes forever.
I have it all.. shipping is $11 deposit is $130 ( to cover cost of the tools) I refund it when I get my tools back.. send me two checks.. one for the deposit the other for the shipping fees... I used to charge $40 for the rental package.. came with lifter rods, dual spring tool, pulley install tool and air hose for spark plug, comp cam pushrod length tool. Its $240 for the deposit for all that and $11 for shipping.. If you want to pay for rental fee you could.. but I won ask for it this time... I'll do it as a favor for you... If you like the results and think its worth offering to people I'll post it ..
I believe Vinci actually developed the tool for Crane, that is where I got mine as well.
Yeah I got mine form them back in the day as well.. the one Speedinc has looks just like it... geat tool to be honest, makes changing the springs easy and quick
Since joining the LS ranks, I now have more metric and specialty tool than I ever thought!
LOL ... bought an old mopar to fix up and now my SAE collection is starting to be bigger than the metrics... but for the longest time the metrics were the only thing getting used.. thank god for Detroit iron
