The difference, other than the obvious color, the part number changed to 12586484.......and they don't break anymore....

The part number on the GM box I got today is # 12499224 - they are BLUE.

Does anyone know whether the specs are the same for Yellow versus Blue springs having this part number?

I might have missed it, but which valve springs did you install? Congrats on getting that out of the way ... valve spring swap is next on my list.

Comp 921's as my car already has a bigger cam! The previous owner had a cam installed and I had no idea what springs were in there. They were single springs with a yellow stripe.

I drove the car today and damn the valve train is pretty noisey now. I know its just the common sewing machine sound that these engines produce. Its just going to take a little getting use to.

I hear that going to aftermarket spring can result in more valve train noise maybe that's it. Enjoy the sound of a high performance engine
