Default older cam question

Hey guys,

Please take a look at this mild cam, what do you think? It's been on the sellers car for 5 years, what maintenance issues should I be concerned with? What kind of longevity issues or reliability issues would I face down the road if I were to purchase the car?

Thunder Racing Cheatr - 215/232 .601/.579 LSA 118.4

Cam card - http://www.mediafire.com/?2qwztcd73iddped

Also w/ stock LS6 intake & heads (243 casting)

Thanks!

Looks like a mild street cam, some will say that after whatever miles you should replace valve springs but I'm not really sure about that. If the car is drove hard then it's a different story.

Does it matter which springs? Do I need duals, etc. Could I get away w/ stock ls6 or ls7?

Also, what would you guys estimate the rwhp be with a tune, shorties and exhaust? He has it listed and 365 which I thought was low....

Valve springs, once you deviate from stock, need to be maintained. The ramp rate of the cam will contribute to the need to watch them as well as total lift, installed height, etc. The CheaTR cam is a nice cam but it is hard on valve springs from what I recall.

LS6/ls7 springs are totally inappropriate for that cam.

I don't think the hp estimate is far off. I ran a 216/244 on a 114.5 for a while and I was at 370 hp with headers.

Which valve springs would you recommend?

I think I would get an recommendation from Thunder Racing. PAC would probably be my first choice.
