Default Windshield wiper Big problem!

I have an odd problem that I can't find any information on.
My wiper switch is in the off position however the wipers seem to have a mind of their own. Starting yesterday, the just go on when they want to for a few minutes at a time and then go down and twitch and then go on again. I cant get it to stop. If the car in on, the wipers are moving. Sometimes, they just get stuck in the straight up position for about 1-2 minutes and then go back down.

What do I do? I cant pull the fuse because its rainy time here and we have had rain all week.

Ever done the mod to the wiper motor yet?

If not chances are the motor got flooded. There are some drains under the wiper motor that get clogged up with leaves and such. When that happens that area will pool with water.

When that happened to mine I just replaced the motor (put silicone around the body just in case) and cut the bottom lip of the drains off so les chance of clogging.
If you want to try and save some money you can remove the motor and dry it out and then reinstall, after moding the drains.

The wiper motor /controller is FLOODED because you leyt the drain udders clog up. IF,,,,,,,you unclogg the drain and allow the motor to dry out, it may work again. I removed mine and flushed it with alcohol and WD-40.

Just put your hand in here and pull out the udders. They pop back in the hole easily!

Is there a way to check the wiper motor to see if it's fried?

Thank you so much!!
I cleaned out the utters and everything feels dry. Car will be in the sun for a few days and will hopefully dry out. "Hopefully".
I had no idea that those were even there or needed to be cleaned. One was almost empty but the other was full and packed down.
Thanks again!

Yea if it doe snto move at all, its fried.

But drain the water out and let it dry and see if it works. If not replace. I just replaced mine to be safe as my wife was driving at the time.
