I just picked up a 2000 convertible. I notice that with the top up when you close the doors with windows raised they ride outside the upper rear seam. When you lower the windows and raise them with the top up the windows fit inside the seam like they should.
Are C5' convertibles equipped with shuttle windows, or at least on the driver's door?

Any help would be appreciated.

what is a shuttle window? you buy those at NASA ?
Funny I was just down there. Shuttle windows are the ones that drop half an inch from fully raised position when you engage the door opening mechanism; then return to fully raised when the door is closed.
As far as over wrought engineer; if I had the engineering talent to design anything I would be a wealthy person instead of a blue collar working slug.
I'm trying to figure out if the door glass needs adjustment. I don't believe GM would have designed the car with the door glass fitting outside the top seam at the rear corner.
I have a 98 vert and my windows do the same thing. With the top up, the first thing I do when I get into the car is to roll both windows down slightly and put them back up. I had a Porsche that did this automatically and when I got the "98 I was disappointed that this American car with so many other sophisticated features failed to do this. There is a device that you can purchase that installs in the OBD outlet that will allow you to control the windows up and down with the remote key fob. This aids in getting the windows properly set when you leave the car.
