ls7 was only a little over $2k when they first came out, but now it's closer to 3K. Problem is if you don't have a ls2, 3, 7, etc block to use for sleeving then you need to buy that and do the sleeving to it. If you can find a used ls2 block or even one with a damaged factory sleeve for cheaper it will help with cost. ERL is in the $1500 price range (that might include finish honeing to your piston bore), but that's just for the sleeve installation into your block. Only use vendors that have experiance sleeving for this option (ERL, VA speed, etc)
