Default knock sensor help!!! Desperate

Please do not respond back with the whole search thing... I have about 15 different web pages open and I can't find what I am looking for...

I have my intake mani off and I am trying to test the knock sensor...

I understand the resistance needs to be between 93 and 107k ohms and when I tap on the engine that it should create voltage...

My problem is that I am retarded and dont know exactly how to test for that...

do i need to have the knock sensor in the motor or out of the motor?
What should I be touching to test the resistance?

Could someone explain step by step for dummies on how to test the knock sensors....

I have bought new wire harnesses and multiple new knock sensors and I cant figure out what is wrong.

PLEASE HELP

If you have replaced multiple sensors and have the same issue, what made you believe it was a knock issue? Codes?

Have you just installed headers? They can hit the frame and cause false knoks.

Your issue is most likely being caused by a poor connection at the wiring harness connector, The Female Pins inside the MAIN harness connector are most likely spread/damaged/corroded/dirty. Carefully examine them. MAKE SURE that the metal tongue inside the female pin that makes contact with the male pin has a nice tight grip on the male pin.

Here is an example of a damaged female pin vs a new set of pins:

The pins on the right are BAD!!
