Default Anyone else with this problem!!!!

I noticed when I roll up my drivers side window the headlights dim a little bit. Probably a short in the door harness or the control panel is going out. Today the window quit working and all the gauges maxed out or went to zero and the dic went crazy. Dic read loss of engine power, fuel low , service engine. I killed the engine restarted and everything went back to normal and the window worked fine. Got to be in the harness. Anyone had this problem?

I noticed dimming headlights when the windows reached the top but that was before I replaced the battery. New battery and problem gone. However I never experienced the DIC problems you describe. I would check the voltage on the battery before anything else, I've heard weak batteries makes the car do some wierd stuff. Good luck bro.

A weak battery does all kinds of strange things with these cars

Pop out the accordion tubes on BOTH doors. Disconnect this connector and fix any female pins that look like the top row center pin!!!!

Dimming is somewhat normal when a heavy load is placed on the electrical system. What is normal?? Depends.....

There are electrical issues that can make the problem more significant than normal minor dimming. Fix that connector first!!

My car went crazy one day and would have hesitation when starting, not to mention issues with the lights as you described.

THEN....I noticed a hydrogen sulfide smell (aka nasty fart smell) and saw my battery was leaking acid

changed the battery and ALL ISSUES GONE!

Hope you spent a lot of time cleaning it with baking soda and water, and drying everything including electrical connectors or the issues will be back!

Could be excessive current draw from the window motor...

Does the window:

move slow?

sound like it's working too hard?

An open circuit...perhaps, doubtfull it's a short or fuses would be letting go somewhere.
