When ya say it must be jacked up,does it have to be on the jack pads,or can you put the jack under the rear end to change out your exhaust on an A4?
I am going with the Corsa Indy's w/Daytona Tips :D :D :D :D :D :D
I used the rear cross member. You need to get it up a good 36" in the rear. And don't forget to remove the center mounts for the swaybar to let it hang. It will still be tight, but can be done.
Please use jackstands before you get underneath it. If you use the rear center brace you should probably use a 2X4 (or 2X6) long enough to go span the entire brace (about 6 or 8 inches I would guess) on top of the jack
You do not have to get it that high if you are willing to cut the stock pipes to get them over tha axle. You'll still have to drop the sway bar though.
Yup, thats how high I needed to swing the right side exhaust over the axle and past the sway bar. I did not have to anything with the sway bar on the left side though. I put the front wheels on ramps before jacking the rear up. :D I did take a pic of the car up in the air but not a digital pic.
IMHO find yourself a lift and do it the safe and easy way... I did the upgrade in my garage and I said to myself that I wouldn't contend with that hassel again... It is better to be safe than sorry... :yesnod:
