Found a vaccum leak today. It is a rubber connector that joins two hoses into 1 at the firewall just behind the intake. It resembles an electrical plug in shape with holes for two fittings on one end and 1 hole on the other end. I have no idea what its called nor where to get.
I have what sounds like a vacuum leak from our '02, but only when cold.
I really can't see anything behind the intake other than the few hoses, even with the covers off.
Be interesting if someone can offer some advice/help with that "plug".

Any help??????
I'm not aware of any vacuum lines at that location and as far as I know, there's only one and it small, black plastic which runs through the firewall behind the battery. Now what I think you are seeing is possibly the PCV line back there that connects the driver's valve cover to the passenger valve cover.
There is a small vacuum supply line off the back of the intake manifold. Does the mode selector function of your AC work properly? (i.e. if you select floor only does it blow only on the floor or out of all the vents?). If you have a leak in that small supply line your ac actuators will not function properly and air will blow out of all vents all the time while the AC is on.

Thats it. but what is the 3rd hose. this rubber connector has three holes. two on the passenger side, one from the valve cover, not sure where the other is from and on the other end is a fitting that goes to drivers side valve cover. its the rubber piece that went bad.
Its a fairly large line and both valve cover connections come together along that path. Now as mentioned, the vacuum source lines for the hvac originate right there too at the rear of the intake but they are small...at the MAP sensor. If your PCV line has desolved liked mine did, then you'll need to replace. The new one at the dealer was about $100 last I saw it and it contains a new pcv valve as well. PITA to put in.
Sounds like the PCV line. On the earlier C5s 97-2000, they used that connector. On line goes to the aft fitting on back of the block and the other two go the the valve covers.
