I want to change the wiper arm on the passenger side. I have used PB Blaster to help lub it and I can't get it to come off after the nut is removed. In the manual, it shows using a puller. Anybody have any suggestions on how to remove the arm? Thanks in advance.
You can purchase a battery terminal puller from the autoparts store and it will work.
I just run the nut to the top of the shaft (tven with the shaft), put some rubber under the cowl and put some light upward force on the arm with a pry bar. Then tap down on the nut with a small hammer and a brass drift punch. It pops up /off fairly easily for me.
i bought a 2 ton puller instead of the battery terminal puller. i probably spent a little more on it, but i figured i could use it for a lot more applications than i could with the terminal puller. i tried every trick in the book before that. they had never been removed in 120k miles.
