Reason: info
Did you clean the rest of the system out before you installed the new stuff. I had the same thing happen, and it was the new orafice tube that plugged up again. Once they opened it up, you could see the stuff (metal shavings) that was plugging the tube, it had also been put in backwards to their dismay. I took mine to a corvette specialist finally , and it was worth it. Still works great. That would be my guess for what its worth, not a expert but this drove me crazy for a while trying to figure out what the hoot was going on.
Thanks big hank i.m starting to believe the system got contaminated when replacing the compressor, will replace exp. Tube as well as look at the new orifice tubing to see if debris is evident. Purge, replace, recharge. Seems to be the order for the day. Thanks again.
Expansion or orfice tube is in the hi pressure line on right fender
Must discharge before taking single bolt out. Mine was so stuck in there had to use needle nose vise grip plyers and pray I didn't break it off when removing. Lines should be fine as they probably dont get clogged but the orfice tube can..
Thanks to all who gave advice . The problem was contaminated orafice. Replaced orafice, dryer and purged the line . Voila, cold air. Yeah couldn't come at abetter time hot and humid in md. Big hank, dmarkshark, big jimm 993, were right on with the problem . Thanks again to all who responded . Corvette forum rules!!!
