About twice a day, I will start the car and have the car stall when put into reverse with a REMOVE KEY FOR 10 SECONDS in my display. When this is done, 99% of the time she's good to go. The 1% I will have to repeat the process a 2nd time.
This has been a chronic problem with this particular car, because I found some paperwork from the previous owner describing same symptoms, however, no confirmation if the problem was ever repaired.
The car recently had some work done on it at our local Chev dealer and there was no FAULT CODES. ANY SUGGESTIONS? Thank you for your assistance.
Dirty pellet on key or dirty or bad ignition switch
Try alcohol on the key and either alcohol or contact cleaner in the switch. Had similar msgs on DIC and cleaned key and sprayed contact cleaner into switch then used key to clean contacts. Hope you don't have to replace ignition switch.
This just happened to me. Had to have the column lock relays replaced, could be your problem too. Cost me $423 at the dealer to get it fix. Worth every penny tho to get rid of that annoying problem and headache. You prob have some relays messed up or it could be your battery's draining, replace the battery, if you have installed any electrical devices i.e. aftermarket head unit make sure you didn't hook it up to a hot current, it will drain your battery and the issue may happen again.
