Its getting into the triple digits here in Texas now and then and I noticed somthing strange with my A/C. While sitting at a stop sign my A/C blows ice cold, once I start moving, and the faster I move, the warmer it gets. Normally its the opposite of that where moving helps your A/C (In every other vehicle Ive owned). Then the other day I noticed that it only gets warmer on the drivers side vent and middle vent, the two passenger vents still are blowing cold. I thought maybe I had it set to pull air from outside but I definitely do not have that on. Its the manual A/C unit without dual control too so its not normal to have two different temps going on, anyone else see this happen when it gets hot outside?

Some of these new systems hold so little freon that when they get just a little low, you will see this condition of having two separate outlet temps. Try shooting a little freon into the low side and see if it makes a difference. Goodluck!

Mine did this when I was in SC and it was hot but mine only did it on the driver side vents. I checked my DIC codes and cleared them and then it was cold again. That was months ago and I have not had any problems since then.

Thanks, Ill take it to the shop to get checked I guess, I just find it wierd that it only gets warm while im moving, kinda like theres a hole where the hot outside air is forced into the drivers side.

Ill try this too, thanks. Did you have dual climate or the single control?
You will probably find that when you rev the engine above idle, the AC light on the switch will either blink or go out.
That means that the compressor is cutting out on low suction pressure. Have someone Rev the engine to 2000 rpm and watch the center of the compressor hub. If it STOPS or cycles ON & OFF, ON & OFF,,,,, your most likely LOW on R-134.

hmm, nope not doing that. It stays on fine the whole time and is ice cold on the passenger side, just not on my side.

When the compressor was going out on my Accord it did this. My mechanic buddy said this is common. Hopefully not in your case, but keep it in the back of your mind.

that usually means that you are low on freon. The passenger side is where the freon first comes in, you don't have enough freon to cool the entire coil!
Or, if you have separate controls for the sides, they could be out of synch.
