Usually this will inhibit starting. typically the pellet key and reader aren't sending the right value to the computer. Can be a bad or dirty key resistor. Bad sensor on the ing switch (not the switch itself).
Pull your codes and see what is reporting an issue.

Yeah, you could be starting to see the results of wear on the ignition cylinder, or on the resistor pellet. Something like that - jiggling the key can make the security light turn off; so can cleaning the key.
I know there's a recommended way to clean the ignition cylinder contacts but I can't remember what that is...

If the codes reveal the key pellet causing this, do you have lots of things on the key chain hanging there? We've seen this causing issues with the internal contacts.
