Well, just had a long talk with Jason(MTI). He has my motor all apart and wanted to know what we needed to do next, along with our "other" project. I have made the decision to sell the ZO7. The car is so nice, I cannot make the decision to put a automatic in or cut it up. I have several other projects getting done, and have put a deposit on a 360 Modena today. I will build another C5 soon, just don't want to cut up the ZO7. I have some people interested already, but if anyone else is interested, please e-mail me. At this stage, the car will have a completely fresh motor, with a couple of "new" improvements. It will still remain a true 9 sec car, but totally streetable. It hurts me to sell it, after all, it will remain to be the first 6sp C5 in the nines.
Thanks, you guys are making this decision difficult. I want this car to go to someone who will love it like I do. Don't count me out, I will still have the white FRC, I just have to try something different. There are a couple of guys wanting it for the Cruise-in. I just made this decision today, hope I can sleep tonight..
Normally I resist change. But hey, sometimes the best thing to do is move on. By far my favorite car maker is Ferrari. The 360 Modena is a beautiful car. Have you decided on the color? Are you going to go classic Rosso Corsa or something evil looking like Nero? Just curious... I have heard the sport seat option is wonderful, however they are a bit uncomfortable on long trips.
Next time I am in Austin visiting my sister and her husband you will have to give me a ride in your Ferrari. :yesnod: :D  Did you get hit with a long wait? Most dealers are sold two to three years out... unless you want to pay a premium for one...
Tough decision for sure. But you're always changing up your stable and I'm sure you'll be happy with the F360...for a little while anyway. It's gonna be the slowest car in the stable from what I can tell...but, a Ferrari is something very special. I was fortunate enough to drive an F1 gearbox equipped example (D. Dror's car) and it was amazing...felt like a large shifter kart...so nimble and precise with every input.
For those that haven't seen the Z07 in person it is unbelievably clean. I sat and stared at the paint for about 20 minutes when I was at MTI the other day. It it the best looking black finish I've ever seen on a C5. No orange peel, no swirl marks, just deep black reflection :D It's hard to find a single flaw anywhere on or in the car.
Good luck with the sale. Are you gonna get the F1 gearbox in the 360? It's neat but shifts very slow.
SW, I wish you the best with whatever you decide to do. I know that if it were me, I'd keep the Z07, and get the 360. If you need to sell something, sell one of the trucks, or other cars. Do you really need two Supras? Hell, sell some stock, it's not worth much anyway... Someone mentioned the Corvette Museum. That would be a cool idea too. Anyone else who buys that car may stick it in a garage, and rub it with a diaper. You drive the ***** off it, like it should be driven!!!
For the 360, will it be a 6spd, or an F1? Seems like 6spds, are harder to find, but might be less dough. Knowing your affinty for banging gears, I'm thinking it will be a 6spd. Hope it is. Can't wait to see pics, and if I ever make it to Texas, a little ride...in all of your awesome cars!

Wow, sorry to hear that you are going to sell such a Unique Vette!
You might want to consider selling it to Chevy, the Museum, or someone who will showcase the Vette - it is Unique and a first of its kind.
Good Luck SW. We will all look forward to seeing your next Vette project!
Agreed! :( How many opportunities like that car will you get? First 6 speed C5 in the 9's? That is a great accomplishment. Keep it to show your grandkids one day. Sell ANYTHING else if you have too, or at least sell it to the Corvette museum. That car is a legend. The idol of many on this forum, present company included. I wish I had the money to buy it and store it!
