Default HVAC problem

my driver side is blowing warmer air then the passenger side when the AC is on! i read thru a bunch of threads already, i did the reset thru the DIC, i pulled the fuses to reset, i tore apart the car and removed the acuator and did the adjustment to that. i have NO codes for the HVAC system. i climbed under the dash and watch the acuator move and its moving... what else?!

Once again, your system is most likely a bit low on freon! This is the most common cause for this condition.

Best check that freon level again, many ppl have torn their dashes apart chasing ghosts, only to add a bit of freon after the fact and cure the problem. The passenger side will be "ice" cold even if the system is a bit low.

no codes, had no history codes under the HVAC previously, i already tried adding some freon, at first i thought it was just low and added some, then i noticed the passenger side was still blowing cold

Remove the drivers side under dash close out panel.. Get an inspection mirror and flashlight. Observe the controller and have someone cycle the temp control **** thru it full temp range and see if the controller consistently moves thru its full range"

There should be range marks on the controller

assuming its those marks in the last picture?

if so then it goes way past on the cold side, the hot side is right on target

You said you adjusted the actuator, could you have messed that up somehow? That would explain why it would not set correctly? Just some thoughts.

Well,, thats too high but modt likely not your issue.

Take the actuator off and manually position the shaft to the coldest position and see if its cold out that vent.

would this also be the problem for a car that: when adjusting temp up to say 68 and then trying to go back to 60 temp won't go back down and air blows at higher temps

Looking at your 2nd picture, is that the position for the coldest setting (to the right of center) ?

k removed it and adjusted by hand, no real differance, reinstalled it and its deffinatly going all the way to the coldest position. guess that rules out the acuator, the flap seems to open n close without any obstruction as well

Back to the freon? How are you checking it? I had this issue and when all said and done, it was a plugged orifice tube.
