Not sure I understand the question as when you pull the pump without draining the coolant you will have a huge mess and dump coolant on the front composite spring. You may have some left in the radiator, but a goodly portion of the coolant will drain when the pump is removed.
Need one?
I have one with less than 10,000 miles that I pulled to replace with EWP. Let me know or PM me a good offer if interested!
I might. My garage is carpeted, but yesterday when I had the car out of the garage and went to pull it in, I had a small drip in the driveway. The water pump area was dry, by it was wet right on top of the power steering rack. I do have a TB bypass that runs right over that area and I felt wetness from the hose on the bypass, but I'm not loosing any coolant in the overflow reservoir. I haven't had a chance to throughly inspect it but, at idle my coolant temps rise until I start moving and then it drops again. I have a 160* T-stat and averaging temps around 192* in 85* weather and 201* in 102* weather while driving and 198* in 85* weather and 220* in 102* weather while in stop & go traffic, so I would assume that my waterpump is failing because I would think optimally, it'd be 181/190*.
PM me the price you're looking to get for your waterpump.

You normal coolant temp can be 240F easily and still be considered Normal.. having a 160 stat has nothing to do with how hot your coolant gets. You might just have a leak in the bypass. usually when the water pump goes it deposits coolant right on the Balancer.
