Default intake manifold

I'm looking for a Ls-2 intake and throttle body. What numbers should be on these parts.I'm looking a used ones first to save in costs.I was told the Ls-2 thottle body is bigger that the Ls-1 on my 2000,vette,and should breathe more.Has any one on this site tried this?

I would purchase the LS6 intake instead, and port your stock throttle body.

I don't think the ls2 will bolt to the ls6. TPiS will cut the 75mm nose off the ls6 and put a 90mm on it so you can use the ls2 tb.

Ok. What casting head numbers are on an 2004 LS6, and a 2005 LS2?

ls6 # is 12573572. I'll get the ls2 tb #,(we are in the middle of a hurricane) You may want to check the article in the link below. "The Great LS-1 Intake Test"

I have a 2000 vette,I installed a set of Patriot heads#2013,Harland sharp rockers 1.8.BBk throttle body.custom grind lunati cam,550 int and ex.230int. and 238 ex.bbk short tube headers,weiand intake.The engine only made 379
rear wheel HP.I was told it ran flat after 5800.So I changed the cam to Trick flow tfs 30602004 595 int and ex with 1.7 rockers 296,int and ex
duration.I lost 9 hp.It took the engine to 6600 to make 370 hp.
I was took it might need more air and fuel and the LS-2 intake and throttle body coul be the answer.I was also told to check the cats they could be stopped up.This is a stock original engine with 5100 miles. I feel this engine should be over 400 RWH

the LS6 intake and throttle body can be seen here on cars that are putting down WAY more than that. I personally watched my buddies 01 z06 put down over 400 with just bolt ons after tune.

I seriously doubt its the Weiand intake manifold limiting your power, Lingenfelter had a hand in its design as an improvement over the LS1 manifold.

Ginsvette wasn't talking about an LS2 manifold. To put the LS-2 throttle body on an LS-6 manifold you need a bigger nose. In the TPiS test, the LS-6/LS-2 combo was 507.4hp @6800 and the Fast 90/LS-2 combo was 512 hp @ 6800.
